There are times when you feel stuck, uninspired, and deprived of creative energy and it SUCKS. So, in the hopes of making myself feel something, I went to check out Saul Leiter's photo exhibition! I'd say it was a fine decision :p

Hey guys, how are you all doing? considering how so much more important things are going around now and need to be talked about, it didn’t really feel right to post this video around this time to be honest but I thought I'd use this description section to speak up about this matter. How George Floyd got murdered just because of his skin color is horrible and unacceptable. It's sickening to see ...

In the US there is no snobbery about universities. Except some very limited majors and parts of the country. The really disturbing thing is a student in Korea could get an 80% and still not do well in comparison to the rest so marked lower. No wonder there is bullying of others and no wonder suicides. I think students in US spend as much time as Korean students in the last year or two of high school. Most have jobs. And drive. And pay for stuff. Which is the second problem. Who wants to support a kid into their 30’s? In the US people are used to taking on some expenses before college, more during college and their own living expenses some time after graduation. There is also family priority and some sort of balance. Which is why no one in Korea is having babies. We also respect jobs that don’t need college. It’s not for everyone. COVID showed us what jobs are really essential and which are not.
I would have 3-4 hours of homework a night in Highschool. Actual things assigned to be handed in and graded. And we had quizzes and tests often making up the final grade. Senior year I also had a job 4 hours after school 3 days a week and all day Saturday. That last year I would do some homework in lunch or during another class. I would multitask. Tv on or music while doing it. Also talking on the phone. A friend and I would help explain the math we were stuck on. Explaining something to another is a great way for it to sink in. Still would go to bed 11 or 12. Up after 6. I had 7-8 classes per day in school. Every day the same 7 classes. That year I added in the 8th class was not a good idea. I had more credits than needed to graduate or go to college. 3 years we had science. 3 years we had social science. Every year math and English. 2 years of language. 4 years of music. A few art classes. Driving class for short time. And 4 years of religion. It was academic a bit of church history and such. Even some summer classes. Practice for music was outside of the 3-4 hours. School was relatively close even by city bus. I was not traveling back and forth to the school or study place. It was eat and go back to homework. Our test for college at the time was just two subjects. English and Math. But the grades you got in history and science and Spanish and other classes mattered to get into college. You needed to have a minimum of certain classes and a certain grade point average. And they wanted you to do things outside of school like work or volunteer or do an activity. That improved your chance for the school of your choice. We had 15 hours of community service each year to graduate. There was a lot of academic pressure but it was set up to provide a balanced life. The job in high school was brilliant for life. With that job financial responsibility came in small steps. First it was paying for own clothing and car insurance and gas and entertainment, then you added on cell phone bill and larger ticket items like tech and car repair. By the time you were done with college living expenses and retirement savings were just a few more lines to the budget. I watch Kdrama’s and wonder why a 36 year old is living with their parents still getting spending money or hundreds of thousands to marry. I have been watching for almost 20 years. I get it’s the culture. It still seems so different.
Is there really the bullying? Do some students get away with it cause of who their parent’s are?
Most inspirational video💜💛💗.
Congratulations 💜💛💗.
I'm waiting for next update
Hey, we missed you so much!
I watched this when I first started high school and now I'm a college student and still watching this. Thank you so much for motivating me to study <3

This video makes me miss being in highschool haha I graduated in 2013, so yeah already 10 years ago. And despite a few rough moments, I still have great memories of being a highschool student in Canada. If I remember right, our days in my highschool were from 7:40 or 45am to 2:25pm. I hated studying and doing homework, but now I realize that those were the best days of my life personally 😊
There's no bullying nah this ain't the real korean highschool life
Why would she record bullying?
Maybe the bullies are more subtle about it.
School violence is often portrayed in Korean dramas, which can lead to misunderstandings. However, according to a school violence survey conducted in Korea in 2022, approximately 1.7% of students responded that they had experienced school violence. (This survey was conducted online and through mobile devices, following the principle of voluntary participation by students. The participation rate decreased by 5.9 percentage points (230,000 people) to 82.9% (3.21 million people) compared to the initial survey in 2021.) The types of violence reported were verbal abuse (41.8%), physical violence (14.6%), and group ostracism (13.3%) in that order.
İ Wish i can walk home that late 😢
